I've obviously fallen out of blogging (not like I was really in it to begin with), but for the past few days, I've contemplated on making a post about what I bought during the VIB sale at Sephora, and alas, I've decided to do it. Granted, this is a rather lazy post with a photo with rather poor lighting, but it's okay with me!
To be quite honest, I already have all the makeup I need and wear on a daily basis, so for the sale, I decided to go with skincare items. You can never go wrong with skincare items!
(left to right)
- ORIGINS Mini Mask Marvels ($22.50)This set comes with three 1 oz tubes of Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores, Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, and Drink Up 10 Minute Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst. This is actually one of my friend's Christmas gifts. I was so excited to come across this because otherwise I wouldn't have bought anything else for her from Sephora since she doesn't wear makeup. I knew she uses the charcoal mask, so I thought it would be fun for her to try the other masks from Origin as well!
- MURAD Acne Spot Treatment ($16.00)
This was primarily for my brother. We've both used this spot treatment for years, now more so my brother since he's a teenager and has been breaking out a lot. Our current tube is almost out, so I thought it would be good to restock during the sale. - SEPHORA FAVORITES Beauty Unmasked ($29.00)
This set comes with travel size samples of the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores, Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, GlawGlow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment, and Peter Thomas Roth's Cucumber Gel Mask. Again, this is a gift for one of my friends. She also doesn't wear makeup, so I thought that she could still enjoy this set because who doesn't like masks?! I thought this was such a good deal, considering how popular the Origins and GlamGlow masks are (not quite familiar with Boscia and Peter Thomas Roth). - CLARISONIC Mia Skin Cleansing System ($99.00)
No need to say much about this skincare item! I've contemplated about getting this every now and then for the past few years when they were first introduced by the beauty community on Youtube. During the beginning of college, I never really experienced a lot of acne or breakouts. However this year I've noticed more on my cheeks, which I've never gotten before. There was also a certain period where I had a lot on my forehead. I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest on something like this, but my mom encouraged me to buy it since her friend had it and liked it, and so I did! I have yet to try it out but I definitely look forward to. - CLARISONIC Replacement Brush Head Twin-Pack ($44.00)
Because I have yet to try out my Clarisonic, I'm not sure which type of brush head would be the best for me. The only twin pack they had available at the time was the "Radiance" one, but I figured I could just exchange this later if need be. With this twin-pack deal and the 20% off discount, I saved almost $20! I couldn't pass on buying replacement brush heads so soon. - GLAMGLOW Gift Sexy ($69.00)
Since my Fresh Rose Face Mask is almost running out, I was in need of another hydrating mask. I was originally planning to buy a hydrating mask from Origins, but once I saw this gift set, I changed my mind. I couldn't pass up this deal considering one full size GlamGlow mask alone is $69.00. This set includes a full size ThirstyMud hydrating mask and a mini size of the SuperMud clearing mask and the YouthMud tinglexfoliate mask! I really hope I enjoy these masks as much as everyone else does.
That's it for this year's Sephora VIB sale! Thanks to these purchases, I'm a VIB member for yet another year, which I wasn't even anticipating. They sure know how to make people splurge...
