An Introduction

Hello, "blogger-sphere!" To be quite honest, I have no idea what I'm doing on Blogger, or Blogspot, or whatever this website's properly called. (Actually, can someone set me straight with that issue because I'm so confused) It took me awhile to navigate through this website and set up this template - it certainly isn't as easy as Tumblr... Anyways, I'm most definitely no stranger to blogging.

I created a Xanga account in the 5th grade, in which I wrote about whatever nonsense I found interesting at the time. I wish I remembered my account information, because I wouldn't mind walking down memory lane and taking a look at what I wrote when I was 10... Which just so happens to be 10 years ago - crazy! In 2007, I joined LiveJournal, a lesser known blogging site. This was where I religiously checked for updates on everything Disney Channel-related (High School Musical, Aly & AJ, the Jonas Brothers, just to name a few of what consumed all of my tween years). LiveJournal was where I really became interested in Photoshop. It was cool to make icons and banners and things like that. Looking back at my old work, the coloring was atrocious, but I guess it was "all the rage" at the time. I still keep up with my LiveJournal feed today, but I only post in it every now and then. In 2009, in which I was a junior in high school, I hopped on the Tumblr train. (Tumblarity, anyone?) Most of the people I followed on LiveJournal sort of just "transferred" to Tumblr, so I did as well. In the beginning, I continued to "color/edit" pictures and posted my edits. However, as I entered college, I sort of lost both time and interest in editing. Nonetheless, Tumblr still remains in my life today! I just can't part with it.

And now I'm here. On Blogger/Blogspot (really, what is its proper name?). I realize that my blogging history must have been boring, but it's not like I have an audience anyways. I think that's part of the reason why I decided to make this. I don't really have anyone to judge what I post. With Twitter and Instagram (obviously not blogging sites, but still), I'm always conscious of what to post because I have so many of my friends following me on there. I don't want to clog up their feeds with too many of my posts. Making this just gives me a fresh start and creates a new "blogging chapter" in my life. And if I do somehow gain followers along the way, well great. I hope you don't get too annoyed of my posts - as I said before, I have no idea what I'm doing here...

With the new year coming up, I was also trying to think of new things to start. This was obviously one of them. I figured that keeping up with a more proper blog would help improve my writing and organize my thoughts - being a Biological Sciences major hasn't really helped me in the writing department the past few years. I'll also be turning the big "2-1." We'll see by then if I'm still keeping up with this to remember to even post about it.

I guess I should probably post a few sentences about myself now. Well, I'm a struggling biology student, I enjoy watching YouTube (Amarixe, Zoella, Fleur De Force, just to name a few), I currently have a thing for Captain Hook from Once Upon a Time, I would love to travel and explore Europe one day, and I love inspirational/self-help books. I'm a pretty weird individual, if you ask me. Bless my friends because I don't know how they even put up with me in the first place.

Oh, I should also explain the random picture I posted. Honestly, I wasn't sure what photo to include with this post, so I used that because I liked it. That's me on the right (with my hands covering my face) and one of my best friends on the left. This was taken either before or after we went parasailing at Marina Del Ray in October 2012.

Till next time! (most likely soon)

xx
