2014 Memory Jar

Let me just start by saying that arranging photos on here is such a pain in the arse! It took me forever to try to arrange them so that they could be side by side. It's a shame that I don't have Adobe Photoshop on my MacBook, or else I would have just compiled all four photos into one and make my life easier.

Anyways, last year (it's so strange to say that 2013 was "last year") I made a memory jar and really enjoyed writing out memories for it throughout the year. I have yet to open it and go through all my little notes, but I will by this weekend! I'll be sure to make a post for it as well. So this year I decided to make another one and decorate it. I had some supplies lying around my room, so I decided why not?! 

I'm not going to make a "DIY" post (here's one if you're interested), but here are the supplies I used:

• Mason Jar (bought mine at Michael's with a 50% coupon!)
• Mod Podge
• Glitter
• Stickers
• Black Crafts Paint
• Sponge Brush
• ScotchBlue Painter's Tape

It was nice to do some crafts, as I haven't done any crafts in awhile. I also played Love Actually (which I've never seen before) while I was crafting, so that was a nice plus! All in all, I'm pretty pleased with my work. I absolutely love the black and gold color combination in general, so I was happy to be able to use it for my mason jar!

Since I had no problem doing the 2013 memory jar, I'm hoping that 2014 won't be a problem either. I'm a pretty nostalgic (not sure if it's the right adjective to use) person, so I was always happy and quick to write down whatever good memories I had each day. It also helped to have it on my desk and by my laptop so that I never forgot about it. Believe it or not, I even brought some scratch paper on my trip to Hawaii so that I would remember to write down happy memories on my trip... Talk about dedication, am I right?
